Summer Days

Passing the wide open spaces filled with purple wildflowers and tall Aspen trees, the scene changes quickly. From the towering mountain landscape to the rounded rolling hills and soft glittery foxtails blowing along the side of the road and on to the arid flat backdrop of red clay and green flowering prickly plants—I’m reminded of God’s attention to details. The world around us is a masterpiece of diversity and colors painted all for only our enjoyment. How privilege we are to have a God who loves us so much.

Back from a long vacation and the girls on summer break, the time for refocusing and following the things that is most important is at hand. Time escapes me, especially when I’m writing, and although I will pursue my goal of publishing, the most important things must come first. My children and family, normal duties, writing daily, but above all else is my God.

This will be my ninth year as Vacation Bible School director at my church. The one thing I know God called me to do. HE is loud and clear and paves the way each year before I even get started. So although I plan to continue to write, I ask for your continued to support. Not only for my novel, but VBS as well. Seems more and more churches are getting away with not doing them and all I can say, if it wasn’t for a VBS years and years ago, my mother-in-law wouldn’t have know the LORD and would not have share it with my husband, who would not have shared it with me. I’m so grateful for that little church who in turn reached so many after.

I will continue to blog here and there, but I wanted to wish everyone a wonderful summer! Spend time with your kids and grandkids (they are young for such a short period of time) and build memories that last a lifetime! Nothing is ever more precious.

God Bless…
